Jeepers

Foaled Approximately 1991
14.2hh Pinto gelding

Jeepers’ previous owner, twice removed, placed him with other owners when his ringbone was in an acute phase, and he was very lame (I suspect in light of what I’ve seen, he may have begun to founder in his left fore). The second owners placed him with Under the Angels Wings Rescue, where his lameness issues mostly resolved. UAWR worked with him and wanted to give him a little job, but the first owner was violently opposed to this. In summer of 2007, UAWR came under some hard times, and had to find homes for about 8 of their horses including Jeeps. I had thought I had a home for him. It fell through but a short term sponsor made it possible for Jeeps to come to TGC.
Jeeps is clearly well past the acute phase of his ringbone/founder – after a short time at TGC he is fast, nimble, and very much in love with Queenie. He is healthy and fat. For TGC, Jeeps is relatively young at 16. Right now, he’s mostly focused on keeping Queenie for his own. I feel as Courtney at UAWR did that he will thrive on some light work, and in this way will help ease the burden of riding lessons currently carried by Prophet, Falcon and Sunny, all much older than him.

Jeepers is FINALLY sponsored. So happy and sad to announce
that on Queenie's passing, the Larson family has transferred
their sponsorship to Queenie's greatest love!
Contact Casey if you would be interested in helping with sponsoring any other un-sponsored horse at The Golden Carrot.
